Syrah / Shiraz

The names are completely interchangeable and refer to the same grape variety- most commonly called Shiraz in the New World while it's Syrah in the Old World. Syrah styles greatly with terroir and climate. Black Cherry, pepper and chocolate spice are common descriptors.
