Chef John-Michael's Garden
Vinifera offers city dwellers refuge on its spacious outdoor patio that seats up to 70 guests. Whether munching on appetizers or enjoying the large selection of wines by the glass or bottle, Vinifera's patio satisfies the senses. Handcrafted Hawaiian firepits custom made specifically for Vinifera provide guests with the warmth to enjoy the patio well into the colder weather.
The secluded space is surrounded by plush trees and Executive Chef John-Michael has planted his fresh herbs and produce in the planters that line the patio.
Chef John-Michael uses the heirloom tomatoes, fresh mint, oregano, thyme, lavender and basil as well as other produce in the many seasonal items on the menu. The fresh mint is used in Mojitos and as a garnish for desserts. The heirloom tomatoes are served in dishes including the Mediterranean Salad, the Spinach Salad and as a topping for sandwiches. In late summer, to spice things up a bit, Chef John-Michael grows chili peppers and eggplant.
